“...Help Me...Sometimes I am so sick...Please help me before I do it again...”

The following archived news snippet truly intrigued me when I first came across it a few years ago!

Could it possibly be linked to the Bundy case? In truth, I really don't know, but if I was hard pushed to give an honest answer my instincts say no.

Chilling to think of two Bundy’s creeping around Salt Lake City though! This certainly gives one food for thought.

In the files of the Salt Lake City Police is a note scrawled in nearly illegible childlike handwriting on a ruled, yellow sheet. The letter was recovered from the playground of a technical school in Salt Lake City on Nov. 7 1974, a full day before the aggravated kidnapping attempt of Carol DaRonch and later the Debra Kent abduction and murder from her Bountiful school car park.

"Help me," the note began.

"Sometimes I am so sick."

In regressed, severely disturbed form the writer explained how he was looking for a young woman, he had noticed earlier in the day because he wanted to cut off her "love bumps" with a "rusty knife"

The form and content of the unsigned note was undeniably schizophrenic, like the urgent pleas of the Boston Strangler, Albert DeSalvo, to be caught. The writer confided that he loved to watch his victims "squirm and jerk and twitch," a critical detail confirming that the note was not a hoax because no one but the most skilled coroners and homicide investigators knew that the young woman (Melissa Smith) who had been abducted from the Salt Lake City area only a week before, a case linked to Bundy through pubic hair in his car, died in precisely that manner.

“During the early 80′s I visited with Ted’s parents in their family home in Tacoma, Washington to get a feel for how Ted might have grown up. In my final analysis, I found no need to glorify or vilify Ted Bundy or his family for the events during his lifetime. In the end, each person’s life is portrayed just the way The Creator intended and each of us answers our roll call not a moment too soon or too late.

Now, I see we must take the steps to forgive Ted Bundy for his brutal behaviors and times of personal rage. By doing so, we put faith and trust into motion that we will be forgiven our shortcomings at the end of our life.”

To Gay, Ted was not the most intriguing member of the Bundy family. Gay took some rather nice photos of Bundy down to his parent’s home in Tacoma. He introduced himself to Bundy’s stepfather—the only father figure Bundy had known- and they talked at the kitchen table.

Gay recalls that all of a sudden the front door flew open and Bundy’s mother started spewing obscenities at him. Gay tried to explain that her husband had invited him in. Gay turned and glimpsed Bundy’s stepfather fleeing down the hall.

“That little voice came to me again, explaining why Ted might have had a problem relating to women ...I‘m not judging--just analyzing ...”

Basic Humanity 101- Finding Forgiveness In The Face Of Darkness

To understand the purpose of our Death, we must first understand the purpose of our Life.

Finding forgiveness in the Face of Darkness.

We are prisoners of our thoughts.

How we think and what we believe are learned at home.

To find forgiveness, we must go inside our heart, and soul.

It is here we see we are all Guilty of something.

True forgiveness is never forgetting to forgive.

True forgiveness is not a measurable commodity.
